At Discover After School, we are dedicated to fostering creativity and innovation in children through engaging after-school STEAM programs. Since our inception, we have reached over 2,000 students, and we aim to broaden our impact by establishing new educational facilities and forming community partnerships. Our mission is to open a world of possibilities for the next generation through STEAM education, offering a variety of services including before and after school programs, seasonal camps, training resources, and community events.

Position Overview:

The Program Site Manager is responsible for ensuring adherence to program standards for before and after school initiatives. This role includes overseeing staff, facilitating effective communication between educational institutions and area managers, and organizing structured educational and recreational activities tailored to various age groups. The Program Site Manager serves as a positive role model and leader.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional service to students, families, colleagues, and school administrators.
  • Maintain precise records related to billing, attendance, and health/safety protocols.
  • Supervise and train staff to ensure proper child supervision and activity execution.
  • Address the physical, emotional, and educational needs of children.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team and nurture positive relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, regulations, and standards.
  • Act as the primary contact for parents, school administration, and students.
  • Exemplify positive behavior and instill a sense of responsibility in children.

Qualifications:

  • Florida Child Care Directors Credential with a minimum of 2 years in childcare management.
  • Completion of 45 Hours of DCF Child Care Training.
  • 1-2 years of experience working with children.
  • At least 6 months in a supervisory capacity.
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • Successful completion of background and drug screenings.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Required Skills:

  • Strong English communication skills.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.

  • Participate in scheduled shifts and team meetings.
  • Assist with facility maintenance as needed.

Job Type: Part-time

Compensation: $17 per hour, with bi-weekly payment.

Schedule:

  • Monday - Friday
  • Morning Care: 6:45 AM - 9:00 AM
  • After Care: 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM
