SUMMARY:

Oversee the operations of OCOM's Financial Aid Office, ensuring that all financial assistance programs align with institutional objectives and standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide administrative support for the daily functions of the Financial Aid Office and Student Services.
  • Ensure compliance with established financial aid policies throughout the aid distribution process.
  • Manage correspondence related to financial aid inquiries.
  • Maintain the Financial Aid Office schedule, handle incoming calls, welcome visitors, and provide information regarding office policies and services.
  • Design and create presentations, infographics, flyers, and various reports.
  • Advise students on financial aid processes, awards, scholarships, and debt management strategies.
  • Monitor participation, compile reports, and prepare materials for the Debt Management Program and related presentations.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports for scholarship committee meetings and the OCOM Scholarship Donor Stewardship program.
  • Conduct informational sessions for current and prospective students.
  • Track and analyze medical student payments, outstanding balances, and refund statuses.
  • Ensure the confidentiality of student records in accordance with FERPA regulations.
  • Collaborate on the Title IV application process for OCOM.
  • Support the Director with accreditation tasks, including document preparation, data collection, and entry.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • None
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • Prior experience in financial aid or higher education administration is required.
  • A collaborative team player who values mutual support and teamwork.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with faculty, staff, students, and the public.
