Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with legislation, company policies, and promote a safe work environment.
  • Leadership: Effectively lead others and foster a positive work environment.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure control of all inventories of raw materials and materials for resale.
  • Scheduling: Schedule concrete plant production based on sales and inventory needs.
  • Maintenance: Ensure proper maintenance of plant production equipment to minimize lost production time.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that production meets or exceeds established quality standards.
  • Customer Service: Assist in concrete plant sales and delivery when requested.
  • Problem-Solving: Perform routine mechanical/electrical repairs and preventative maintenance, troubleshoot and solve problems as needed.
  • Inventory Management: Perform bulk and physical inventories.
  • Team Management: Hire, train, and supervise an adequate number of employees to meet the needs of the concrete plant operations.
  • Reporting: Prepare daily production reports, downtime reports, and other paperwork.
  • Inventory Management: Order and maintain inventory of supplies, parts, equipment, and raw materials required for operations.
  • Quality Control: Perform moisture analysis on aggregates daily and adjust mixes for moisture content.
  • Training: Train and cross-train concrete plant personnel as required.
  • Plant Operations: Perform plant startup and closing procedures.
  • Employee Management: Manage site employees, assist in coaching, disciplinary actions, terminations, and annual evaluations.
Requirements
  • Experience: 1+ years of experience with Ready Mix Concrete.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of electrical blueprints and computer module interfaces, metal fabrication, hydraulic and pneumatic controls, mix design, and material requirements.
  • Skills: Strong maintenance knowledge, electrical trouble-shooting skills, management skills, and ability to use hand and power tools.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
