Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Construction Supervisor is tasked with overseeing all exterior finishing subcontractors, consultants, and vendors on a daily basis, specifically for Multi-Family Construction Projects (Apartments). This role is crucial in ensuring that adequate workforce is allocated for each assignment and that all work is compliant with established standards.

Note: This position requires fieldwork and may involve travel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily operations of the construction site
  • Conduct inspections at critical stages to approve construction installations
  • Oversee subcontractor performance and manage their activities
    • Lead weekly meetings with subcontractors to ensure work coordination
    • Schedule subcontractors at various production phases to guarantee timely project completion
  • Maintain a comprehensive daily log of job site activities
  • Ensure site safety and security by conducting weekly safety briefings with subcontractors
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager on subcontractor scheduling and material procurement
  • Supervise the receipt and distribution of materials on site
  • Communicate effectively with Project Managers and Administrators regarding project progress
  • Travel to various job site locations as required
Qualifications:
  • Proficient in reading blueprints
  • Strong comprehension of technical documents, including safety regulations and procedural manuals
  • Familiarity with building codes and guidelines related to multi-family construction
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to utilize an iPad tablet for project management
  • Experience in leading large, multidisciplinary teams
