SUMMARY:

Oversee the operations of OCOM's Financial Aid Office, ensuring that all financial assistance programs align with institutional objectives and standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide administrative support for the daily functions of the Financial Aid Office and Student Services.
  • Ensure compliance with established financial aid policies throughout the aid distribution process.
  • Draft, send, and manage communications related to financial aid.
  • Maintain the Office of Financial Aid schedules, manage incoming calls, welcome visitors, and address inquiries from students and guests regarding office operations.
  • Design and create presentations, infographics, flyers, and various reports.
  • Advise students on financial aid processes, scholarship opportunities, and debt management strategies.
  • Monitor participation, compile reports, and prepare materials for the Debt Management Program and other educational sessions.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports for scholarship committee meetings and the OCOM Scholarship Donor Stewardship initiative.
  • Conduct informational sessions for prospective and current students.
  • Track and analyze medical student payments, outstanding balances, and refund statuses.
  • Uphold the confidentiality of student records in accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
  • Collaborate on the Title IV application process for OCOM.
  • Support the Director with accreditation-related tasks, including document preparation and data management.
  • Perform additional related duties as required.
SUPERVISORY ROLE:
  • No supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • Prior experience in financial aid or higher education administration is essential.
  • A collaborative team member who values cooperation and mutual support.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with faculty, staff, students, and the public.
