Job Overview

Position Summary
The Construction Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the construction timeline while effectively coordinating and managing site supervisors. This role involves participating in the initial development of construction projects and ensuring their organization, scheduling, and execution. Collaboration with the Superintendent is essential to maintain safety standards, quality assurance, and adherence to timelines. The primary objective is to guarantee that all projects are completed punctually, in line with specifications, and within budget constraints.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the General Contractor Project Manager, superintendents, Site Supervisors, and Subcontractor foremen to strategize, organize, and lead activities related to on-site construction projects.
  • Set project goals, policies, procedures, and performance benchmarks within the framework of company guidelines and contractual obligations. Engage with supervisors and foremen to address work methods, grievances, and construction challenges.
  • Oversee and manage the project through administrative guidance of on-site Supervisors to ensure timely completion and budget compliance.
  • Conduct Risk Assessments to identify potential critical issues and implement necessary corrective actions.
  • Generate reports detailing aspects such as work progress, expenses, and scheduling.
  • Coordinate with Sub Foremen to allocate workers to specific construction sites for designated projects.
  • Work closely with Supervisors to uphold safety protocols, quality standards, and project timelines.
  • Facilitate Pre-construction meetings with the Estimation team, Senior Site Supervisors, Site Supervisors, and Subcontractor foremen to discuss installations, project flow, and overall expectations.
  • Assess the performance of site supervisors and project administrators.
  • Create job site visit reports for the General Contractor team to review and address project flow, coordination, potential issues, and solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years in construction project management.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Experience in multi-family construction projects.
  • Strong communication skills with large groups.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
