Position Summary

The General Liability Technical Specialist is tasked with the comprehensive management of General Liability claims, specifically focusing on Bodily Injury and Property Damage. This role involves thorough investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and resolution of claims while ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage severe claims directly, ensuring quality service and timely communication with insured parties.
  • Conduct in-depth investigations, engaging with various stakeholders to assess liability and damages.
  • Maintain accurate claim files and documentation in line with established protocols.
  • Utilize analytical tools to monitor claims and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Establish and maintain appropriate reserves for indemnity and expenses.
  • Collaborate with internal and external resources to effectively evaluate claims.
  • Negotiate settlements with claimants and their representatives.
  • Manage litigated claims, developing strategies for effective resolution.
  • Participate in discussions and roundtables to share expertise and improve claim outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in bodily injury liability claims handling or litigation.
  • Strong understanding of coverage, liability analysis, and the litigation process.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
