Position Overview:

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is accountable for the comprehensive strategic, operational, and financial oversight of the organization. This pivotal role requires collaboration with the Board of Directors, staff, volunteers, and stakeholders to fulfill the organization’s mission and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Management:

Provide innovative and strategic direction for the organization.

Ensure the execution of programs and services that align with the organization's mission, vision, and goals.

Cultivate a positive, inclusive, and collaborative workplace culture.

Strategic Planning:

Formulate and implement long-term strategic initiatives.

Identify and explore opportunities for service expansion, including employment and residential options.

Continuously assess and refine strategies to adapt to the organization’s evolving needs.

Fundraising and Development:

Engage in fundraising efforts, including grant writing, maintaining donor relationships, and identifying new funding opportunities.

Establish and nurture relationships with key donors, sponsors, and community partners.

Ensure financial sustainability through diversified funding sources.

Financial Management:

Oversee the formulation and management of the organizational budget.

Guarantee financial integrity and compliance with all legal and regulatory standards.

Provide regular financial updates to the Board of Directors.

Board Administration and Support:

Act as the primary liaison between the Board of Directors and the organization.

Assist in the recruitment and development of Board members.

Deliver regular updates on organizational progress and challenges.

Program Development and Oversight:

Ensure the provision of high-quality programs and services.

Assess program effectiveness and implement enhancements as necessary.

Stay informed about current trends and best practices in autism services and advocacy.

Community and Public Relations:

Serve as the primary spokesperson for the organization.

Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including community leaders and other non-profits.

Promote the organization’s mission and programs through public speaking and community events.

Human Resources:

Oversee the recruitment, development, and retention of qualified personnel.

Foster a positive and supportive work environment.

Implement effective performance management and professional development initiatives.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in nonprofit management, business administration, social work, or a related field preferred.

A minimum of 10 years of senior management experience, ideally in the non-profit sector.

At least 3-5 years of experience working with adults with disabilities.

Proven success in fundraising and development.

Strong financial management skills, including budgeting and financial reporting.

Experience collaborating with a Board of Directors and diverse stakeholders.

Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.

A passion for supporting individuals with autism and their families.

Knowledge of issues and trends related to autism services and advocacy.
