The DEI Strategy Implementation Manager serves in the lead role for full implementation of the DEI strategy across the North America Region. This position enables and facilitates all elements of DEI strategy implementation, including the establishment and meeting of key milestones, metrics and deliverables. With deep DEI expertise and experience and serving as a critical connector, the position is the primary resource to the Chief Diversity + Inclusion Officer, the BASF Executive DEI Council, and the broader Talent Strategy team in achieving priority goals.

This position requires deep subject matter expertise; DEI strategy implementation experience; strong internal and external networks; well-developed project management skills; and the ability to operationalize DEI strategic priorities and translate into action.

  • Implementing DEI strategy through full attainment of the strategic DEI priorities: (leader accountability, training & programs; KPIs, tracking & representation; compliance excellence; and community connection). Working closely with the DEI Council executive sponsors and expert advisor to meet key milestones and deliverables, as well as working effectively across a matrixed organization
  • Supporting the CDO in engaging the DEI Council to deepen senior leadership engagement, tracking and fully achieving DEI metrics and goals
  • Fully leveraging and assisting with operation of key networks including the ERG Executive Sponsor Board, ERG Officer Council, Site Inclusive Infrastructure Network, and Inclusion Champion Network; planning agendas and coordinating content delivery to maximize network value to achieve DEI goals
  • Bringing strong multi-cultural awareness and relationship management skills to managing external diverse leadership development network relationships
  • Implementing DEI strategic initiatives through effective budgeting, resource planning, communications and change management skills
  • Partnering with Diversity Sourcing Specialist on operationalizing the strategy for Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Future Of STEM Scholars Initiative (FOSSI); improving BASF position and performance in hiring and supporting individuals with disabilities.
  • Partnering with Communication and Marketing to implement business strategy for multicultural visibility and to actively assist with telling the BASF DEI story in a way that is authentic and resonates with key internal and external constituents

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a related field preferred
  • Highly developed DEI strategy implementation experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading implementation of complex projects with a strong preference for DEI topics.
  • Strong executive communication skills with a proven track record of building trusting relationships and networks.
  • Excellent organizational and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience in interpreting HR data to generate insights and actions.
