Position: Catering Operations Assistant

Location: Amherst Campus

Key Responsibilities:

Catering Support:
  • Collaborate with the catering team to prepare, organize, transport, and deliver food, beverages, and necessary supplies for events.
  • Assist in the setup and breakdown of catering equipment and ensure cleanliness throughout the process.
  • Operate dishwashing equipment and perform manual dishwashing as needed during events.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and storage areas, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
Organization and Maintenance:
  • Ensure the organization and sanitation of catering supplies and equipment.
  • Perform various cleaning and organizational tasks as assigned to maintain operational efficiency.
Communication:
  • Regularly check for updates and communications from the college and catering department to stay informed about job-related information.
  • Utilize the Workday system for managing shift schedules, time-off requests, and personal information.
Qualifications:

Required:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Relevant work experience may substitute for educational requirements.
  • A valid driver's license is necessary for operating college vehicles.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse community.
Preferred:
  • Experience in food service or catering environments.
  • Familiarity with driving cargo vans.
