Overview:

Job Responsibilities:

The Casual Catering Assistant plays a vital role in the Catering Department, ensuring exceptional service at various campus events. Responsibilities include:
  • Collaborating with the catering team to prepare, organize, transport, and deliver food, beverages, and supplies.
  • Setting up and breaking down equipment and food stations.
  • Operating dishwashing equipment and performing manual dishwashing as necessary.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in kitchen and storage areas.
  • Assisting with the organization and upkeep of catering supplies and facilities.


Communication:

Regularly checking emails and departmental communications is essential to stay informed about updates and events. Familiarity with the Workday system for managing shifts and time-off requests is also required.

Qualifications:

Required:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Relevant work experience may substitute for educational requirements.
  • A valid driver's license is necessary for operating college vehicles.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment.


Preferred:
  • Experience in food service or catering.
  • Ability to drive cargo vans.
