InsideHigherEd is in search of a Catering Services Manager to lead all facets of catering operations and beverage management. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily catering operations, including staff management, menu execution, and quality assurance of food services.
  • Administer the annual budget and financial performance, and formulate strategic business and marketing initiatives.
  • Build and maintain client relationships, engage in community activities, and gather customer feedback for service improvement.
  • Establish operational policies for efficiency, conduct inspections of facilities, and provide essential training for team members.
  • Ensure adherence to liquor regulations and organizational beverage policies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in hospitality or a related discipline with a minimum of 5 years of catering experience, or an Associate's Degree with 7 years of experience, or 10 years of progressive catering experience.
  • Possession of ServSafe and Alcohol Serving Certifications is mandatory.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and engage in local travel.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Delphi Systems is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in hospitality, marketing, or business is preferred.
  • Experience working within a large university environment is advantageous.
  • Background in a unionized setting or public sector is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

This position necessitates balancing, carrying, standing, driving, and occasional travel.

Work Schedule:

  • Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5 PM; flexibility required for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • 37.5 hours per week commitment.

Salary Information:

Compensation is aligned with Level 29, PSU Hiring Ranges.
