About the Job

The Equipment Asset Inventory Specialist is responsible for identifying, analyzing the equipment assets of Welch. This position allows you to develop relationships, learn about the forklift industry and to participate in our Fleet Strategy. Customer Service skills are required to assist us in achieving our motto “Personal Relationships. Elevating Solutions”.

A Successful Inventory Specialist will:
  • Designate the life cycle of an assetNew, Used, LTRFM, STR, SPG and Heavy Equipment
  • Set boundaries and standards for life of the asset, as well as monitoring and advising equipment managers on equipment transitions
  • Provide timely responses to requests (examples: Asset additions, reports, and utilization analysis)
  • Provide administrative and manual support during Annual Rental Physical Inventory
  • Maintain and record cycle counts of physical inventory to assess trends and reduce potential errors during ARPI
  • Will work closely with Used Manager and Used Sourcing on Equipment
  • Will work closely with Rental Manager on current fleet in accordance with the Fleet Strategy and Playbook implementation
  • Monitor and Analyze the overall financial performance and risk moderation of Rental assets
  • Monitor and Analyze the Service Maintenance of dealer owned assetsMonitor Used Warranty Repairs
  • Be energetic, self-motivated, self-directed person with the ability to focus on multiple projects and activities simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Lead, motivate, train and develop others in order to understand our asset management business model
  • Influence cross functional teams (New sales, Used Sales, Rental, SPG, Service and Parts) throughout varying chains of command
  • Analyze and communicate underperforming assets, new addition deployment, and redeployment of assets across our product lines and send requests to the accounting department to update asset allocation and depreciation schedules.
  • Responsible for compiling and tracking scrap, wholesale loads and notifying the accounting department of the asset disposal request.Responsible for monitoring and updating and correcting equipment data records (Linecards, specifications)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • High School diploma or equivalent experience
  • Experience in Material Handling industry preferred with experience in truck models and applications
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Skilled in time-management and able to work independently
  • Deliver both verbal and written communication across that has the desired impact and effect to drive resultsAbility to multi-task, plan and prioritize work, attention to detail
  • Ability to apply sound judgement and reasoning
