The Inventory Control Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the daily operations within the Inventory Management division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow directives provided by the supervisor.
- Retrieve merchandise from storage areas, including racks, pallets, and bins.
- Accurately select and count items for customer orders, ensuring the correct quantities and types are prepared for dispatch.
- Maintain organization of stock and oversee inventory levels.
- Optimize warehouse layout for efficient space utilization.
- Repackage and reorganize products in storage and picking locations.
- Inspect pallets and items for any defects or damages.
- Adhere to established protocols for receiving, replenishing, and storing inventory.
- Assist in unloading and staging incoming shipments.
- Operate forklifts and other equipment safely and in accordance with safety standards.
- Review incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy.
- Receive, unload, and appropriately store incoming inventory items.
- Support the retail department by managing logs and adapting to departmental needs.
- Propose enhancements to improve warehouse processes.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Compensation: $20.00/hr - $21.00/hr
Work Schedule: Sunday to Thursday, 6:00 PM to 2:30 AM

Qualifications:
Mandatory Skills:
- Proven experience in warehouse operations.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and utilize a calculator.
- Demonstrated eagerness to learn and enhance skills.
- High energy level and motivation to collaborate with warehouse teams.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with diverse personalities.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Willingness to work extended hours or overtime as required.
- Compliance with all company policies and safety regulations.
- Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Capability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery.
- Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of the work area at the end of each shift.
- Assist in upholding the sanitation, security, and safety standards of the warehouse.
Preferred Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent; one year of relevant experience in shipping and receiving preferred.
- Organized mindset with a keen attention to detail, capable of producing accurate results and prioritizing tasks effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proven time management skills with the capacity to address urgent issues and work overtime as necessary.
- Excellent work ethic; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Professional demeanor and ability to represent the company positively.
- Adaptability to changes in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in reading and writing English, and following verbal instructions.
- Comfortable using computers and software applications, including Microsoft Office.
- Experience with RF scanning devices is a plus.
Work Environment:
This position is based in a warehouse setting with the following conditions:
- Moderate noise levels.
- Indoor work environment.
- Temperature variations based on external weather conditions.
Physical Requirements:
- Visual acuity to read product labels and reports, and to operate a computer.
- Able to hear and communicate effectively in person and via technology.
- Capability to stand for the duration of the shift.
- Ability to walk independently to perform job functions.
- Mobility to operate warehouse machinery.
- Ability to sit for extended periods as required.
- Capacity to stoop or kneel as necessary.
- Ability to lift items weighing between 30 lbs and 50 lbs.
- Hand dexterity to open and seal packaging, use a keyboard, and operate phone systems.
