POSITION OVERVIEW:


The Inventory Management Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring optimal service levels for our clientele, orchestrating efficient manufacturing operations, maintaining finished goods inventory within set parameters, and proactively addressing potential obsolete stock for specific product categories.

This role involves developing production schedules, overseeing production orders, managing aging inventory initiatives, and guaranteeing that products are strategically positioned.


PRIMARY DUTIES:
Oversee fill rates and enhance inventory levels for designated product segments.
Serve as the main point of contact for Supply Chain Planning interactions with assigned external manufacturers.
Formulate, sustain, and disseminate weekly production schedules for specific external manufacturing facilities.
Coordinate inventory replenishment activities based on production timelines, existing stock levels, customer demands, forecasts, and supply planning criteria.

Evaluate inventory planning strategy metrics (lead-time, economic order quantity, and statistical safety stock) to improve customer service and manage working capital effectively.

Assist in identifying potential inventory challenges and communicate them to the relevant parties.
Collaborate across departments to resolve issues, utilizing analytical and planning expertise effectively.
Engage in weekly discussions with co-manufacturers or repack operations.
Establish and relay production priorities internally and externally during critical scenarios.
Identify and address capacity limitations to ensure operational effectiveness.
Promptly escalate capacity or production challenges to senior management for swift resolution.
Initiate ad hoc repack efforts as necessary to uphold high service standards.

Work collaboratively with customer service, logistics, warehousing, and co-manufacturing teams to enhance service levels and ensure accurate inventory data sharing.

Support weekly meetings to assess performance metrics, tackle issues, and align on inventory strategies.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong communication skills with co-manufacturing and warehouse teams.
Analytical expertise in production scheduling, inventory oversight, and operational problem-solving.
Self-driven with a history of significant contributions.
Proficient in Microsoft Windows applications, particularly Excel and Access.
Excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills with a sharp eye for detail.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in supply planning, inventory oversight, or similar roles within a manufacturing or consumer goods context.
Solid understanding of inventory management principles and supply chain operations.
Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Dynamics 365.
Experience with advanced planning tools, such as Anaplan, for business planning and performance management.
Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is conducted in a dynamic office setting and may involve high-pressure situations.

Position may require prolonged periods of sitting; manual dexterity is necessary to operate a keyboard, calculator, telephone, copier, fax machine, and scanner.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

In this spirit, we are pleased to present the compensation for this role, which includes a base salary range and an annual short-term incentive.

The base salary range is: $65,000 - $75,000, exclusive of benefits or additional incentives. Additionally, this position is eligible for a 5% annual short-term incentive.

Final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, training, education, and/or experience.

Please note that hiring at the maximum of the compensation range is not typical to allow for future salary growth.
