Overview
The Bureau of Reclamation is in search of a dedicated professional eager to leverage their skills as an Inventory Management Specialist.

Key Responsibilities:
As an Inventory Management Specialist, you will:
- Perform front desk operations, including welcoming visitors, managing phone inquiries, and scheduling meeting spaces.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, supervisors, and the public, ensuring clarity and accuracy in information dissemination.
- Oversee the property management system for the warehouses, ensuring accurate tracking and physical verification of government assets.
- Maintain detailed records of property transactions, including shipping, receiving, disposal, donations, and transfers.
- Utilize established inventory management protocols to assess furniture needs for upcoming projects and provide insights to Facilities Specialists.
- Compile and prepare necessary documentation such as Reports of Survey, property vouchers, and disposal records to reflect updates in property management.
- Operate a computer to enter data, correct inaccuracies, search for records, prepare item descriptions, manage inventory, and document justifications for inventory adjustments.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- U.S. Citizenship or U.S. National status.
- Suitability for federal employment, verified through a background investigation.
- Submission of a resume and supporting documents as specified.
- Possession of a valid State Driver's License, as the role involves operating government vehicles.
Experience Requirements:
To qualify for the position, candidates should demonstrate relevant experience:
- GS-05: One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-04, including skills in reading space layouts, knowledge of inventory protocols, and experience with furniture assembly.
- GS-06: One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-05, with a focus on interpreting space designs and managing supply accountability.
- GS-07: One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-06, involving analysis of space plans and comprehensive property management procedures.
Physical and Work Environment:
The role involves various physical activities, including:
- Walking, standing, bending, and lifting items, with some tasks requiring the use of mechanical equipment.
- Engaging in sedentary work approximately 40% of the time, utilizing automated systems for report generation and data management.
- Driving government vehicles and operating warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
All candidates must meet eligibility and qualification standards as outlined. This position is classified as a LOW RISK role, necessitating a completed background investigation.
