Job Overview

Position Summary: The Inventory Management Associate plays a crucial role in supporting the daily operations within the Inventory Management sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Follow verbal directives from the supervisor.
  2. Retrieve items from storage locations such as racks, pallets, bins, or shelves.
  3. Accurately pick and count orders for dispatch, ensuring the correct quantity and type of products are selected.
  4. Maintain organization of stock and oversee inventory levels.
  5. Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization.
  6. Repackage and reorganize products in storage and picking areas.
  7. Inspect pallets and products for any defects or damages.
  8. Adhere to established receiving, replenishment, and storage protocols.
  9. Assist in unloading and staging all incoming shipments.
  10. Ensure safe operation of forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
  11. Review incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy.
  12. Receive, unload, and appropriately store incoming inventory items.
  13. Conduct cycle counts and report results or adjustments as per company procedures.
  14. Provide suggestions for enhancing warehouse processes.
  15. Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Compensation: $19.00 per hour

Work Schedule: Tuesday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Qualifications:

  1. Mandatory: Proven experience in warehouse operations.
  2. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  3. Willingness to learn and improve continuously.
  4. High energy level and motivation to collaborate with warehouse staff.
  5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with diverse personalities.
  6. Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
  7. Flexibility to work extended hours or overtime as required.
  8. Compliance with all company policies and safety regulations.
  9. Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  10. Capability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery.
  11. Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of the work area at the end of each shift.
  12. Assist in maintaining the safety and security of the warehouse.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent; one year of relevant experience in shipping and receiving.
  2. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  4. Proven time management skills with the capacity to handle time-sensitive issues.
  5. Strong work ethic and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  6. Professional demeanor and ability to represent the company positively.
  7. Adaptability to changes in a fast-paced environment.
  8. Proficiency in reading and writing English, and following verbal instructions.
  9. Familiarity with PC software, including Microsoft Office, and effective communication via email and phone.
  10. Experience with RF scanning equipment.

Work Environment:

  1. This position is based in a warehouse setting.
  • Moderate noise levels are typical in the work environment.
  • Indoor working conditions.
  • Warehouse temperatures may fluctuate based on external weather conditions.

Physical Requirements:

  1. Vision: Must be able to see clearly to read product labels and reports.
  2. Hearing: Must be able to hear effectively for communication and safety alerts.
  3. Standing: Ability to stand for the duration of the shift.
  4. Walking: Must be able to walk unassisted to perform job functions.
  5. Mobility: Must be mobile to operate warehouse equipment.
  6. Sitting: Ability to sit for the duration of the shift as needed.
  7. Stooping/Kneeling: Must be able to stoop or kneel occasionally.
  8. Lifting: Ability to lift items weighing between 30 lbs and 50 lbs.
  9. Hand Mobility: Must have dexterity to handle packaging and operate equipment.
