Job Overview

The Inventory Management Associate plays a crucial role in supporting the operational efficiency of the Inventory Management department.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Follow verbal directives from the supervisor.
  2. Retrieve products from various storage locations including racks, pallets, and shelves.
  3. Accurately pick and count orders for dispatch, ensuring the correct items are selected.
  4. Maintain organization of stock and oversee inventory levels.
  5. Optimize warehouse layout for effective space utilization.
  6. Repackage and reorganize products in storage and picking areas.
  7. Inspect products and pallets for any defects or damages.
  8. Adhere to receiving, replenishment, and stock placement protocols.
  9. Assist in unloading and staging incoming shipments.
  10. Operate forklifts and other equipment safely and efficiently.
  11. Review incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy.
  12. Receive and appropriately store incoming inventory items.
  13. Conduct cycle counts and report discrepancies as per company guidelines.
  14. Propose improvements for warehouse processes.
  15. Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Compensation: $19.00 per hour

Work Schedule: Tuesday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Qualifications:

  1. Proven experience in a warehouse setting.
  2. Basic math skills and proficiency with calculators.
  3. Willingness to learn and improve continuously.
  4. High energy and motivation to collaborate with warehouse staff.
  5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with diverse personalities.
  6. Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.
  7. Ability to work extended hours or overtime as required.
  8. Compliance with all company policies and safety regulations.
  9. Proficient in the use of Personal Protective Equipment.
  10. Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery.
  11. Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of the work area at the end of each shift.
  12. Assist in maintaining the safety and security of the warehouse.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent; one year of relevant experience in shipping and receiving.
  2. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  4. Effective time management skills to handle urgent issues and work overtime when necessary.
  5. Strong work ethic and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  6. Professional demeanor and ability to represent the company positively.
  7. Adaptability to changes in a fast-paced environment.
  8. Proficient in English, both written and spoken, and able to follow verbal instructions.
  9. Comfortable using PCs and software applications, including Microsoft Office.
  10. Experience with RF scanning devices.

Work Environment:

This position is based in a warehouse setting with moderate noise levels and indoor conditions. Temperature may vary based on external weather.

Physical Requirements:

  1. Visual acuity to read product labels and reports.
  2. Able to hear and communicate effectively in person and via technology.
  3. Capability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
  4. Mobility to operate warehouse machinery.
  5. Ability to lift items weighing between 30 lbs and 50 lbs.
  6. Manual dexterity for packaging and using computer systems.
