What you'll be doing:

As a Recruiting Specialist Coordinator at Staples, you will be scheduling interviews to setting up job fairs to investigating issues, there is always something in need of your expertise. This role requires the ability to manage multiple priorities and to work well both independently and as part of a team. You will work with hiring managers, HR partners, and Recruiters to ensure we are getting the talent we need, when we need it. Additionally, you will also be responsible for supporting all elements of recruiting including sourcing, qualifying candidates, interviewing, and in some instances even making the hiring decisions for our direct hire roles. You will use different technology and social platforms to help find the ideal candidates for our open positions and will collaborate with hiring managers to get the right talent for their needs. Depending upon the roles you support, you could be support both full time and temporary staffing needs and may focus on specific elements of the recruiting process at different times. We utilize a team approach to hiring, so you will always be challenged in whatever assignment you have.

As a Recruiting Specialist Coordinator at Staples, you will be asked to nurture relationships, and actively communicate with the candidate throughout the process. You will passionately articulate the Staples Employee Value Proposition (EVP), the business landscape and what makes Staples an amazing place to work. You will be a highly effective communicator and will be seen by the business as the expert at assessing talent. This is a collaborative role, working across the Talent Acquisition team, Staples hiring managers and HR Business Partners to build a team of talented individuals that will support a best-in-class organization.

This position would be remote with the possibility of in-person at one of our facilities in the future.

What you bring to the table:
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with people in various positions in the organization is key.
  • Ability to post accurately to social media channels and select job boards in partnership with the Recruiter
  • Ability to assist the Recruiting team with managing the flow of incoming requisition requests and scheduling interviews
  • Ability to screen resumes and candidates based upon skills and capabilities
  • Ability to create a positive candidate experience with scheduling, assisting with applications and answering basic question
  • Source Talent: Know where to find the talent for each role (Exempt and non-exempt) and how to effectively communicate with passive candidates. Encourage hiring managers to consider internal candidates and to support a diverse pipeline for role
  • Recruitment Marketing: Maintain active candidate pipelines and communicate relevant materials. Utilize silver medalists as source for future communications. Send. Utilizes social media to promote roles. Clearly articulate Staples employer value proposition and the opportunity this creates for potential candidates to advance their career at Staple
  • Manage Candidate Experience: Pro-actively communicate with candidates throughout the process. Seek other opportunities for candidates across company if not a fit for current role.
  • Assess & Hire Talent: Use behavioral based interviewing techniques to assess candidates and technology to effectively screen candidates where applicable.

Qualifications:

What's Needed - Basic Qualifications:

•1-3 years of full life cycle recruiting

•1+ years of using sourcing techniques (e.g. Boolean searches)

•Significant understanding of using ATS, CRM and Excel

•Substantial communication skills (both written and oral)

What's Needed - Preferred Qualifications:

•Bachelor's Degree preferred

•Experience with Oracle ATS or other ATS/ CRM system

•Experience working with AI/Chatbot for recruitment (auto scheduling, pre-screening)

•Understanding of current employment laws including OFCCP's guidelines for fair hiring practices
