We are seeking qualified candidates in the State of CA near a metropolitan area to fill one vacancy.

Ideal candidates will have a comprehensive background in various HR disciplines, including Recruitment, Selection, Classification and Compensation, and Employee Relations/Policy. Applicants should be detail-oriented and well-versed in local, state, and federal HR regulations. This recruitment may also create a list of qualified candidates for future vacancies or project consultant assignments.

Key Responsibilities Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent, including leveraging industry-specific resources, networks, and tools.

Identifying and partnering with key industry platforms and forums to reach specialized professionals. Utilizing targeted advertising and social media campaigns designed for specific sectors. Engaging in proactive sourcing techniques to build a robust talent pipeline from niche markets and top industry players. Implementing customized outreach programs that highlight unique job opportunities and benefits tailored to the desired candidate profile.

Conduct classification and base pay compensation studies aligned with organizational objectives. Navigate employee relations issues and provide guidance to client stakeholders. Review, revise, and/or develop policies and procedures aligned with best practice recommendations. Collaborate with other CPS HR units and clients across multiple time zones, adapting strategies to meet diverse needs. Routinely contact clients to gather and provide information, make presentations, and discuss options and needs. Manage multiple assignments independently, employing professional judgment in most situations. Perform a variety of professional-level HR tasks, requiring extensive internal and external communication. Travel Requirements CPS HR is headquartered in Sacramento, CA. This role is designed to work remotely and requires occasional travel to meet the evolving needs of our dynamic team and valued clients. You will be expected to: Travel to client locations up to once per quarter to foster strong partnerships and drive project success. Attend in-person team meetings at least twice a year to collaborate and strategize with your colleagues. We are actively seeking individuals for a dynamic role that requires a diverse set of skills and experiences. The ideal candidates will bring a combination of administrative and technical expertise in one or more of the following areas:

HR Core Functions: Recruitment and Selection Employee Relations Performance Management Classification and Base Pay Compensation Audit and Compliance Policy and Procedure Workplace Investigations Professional Competencies: A strong understanding of local, state and federal employment laws. Previous HR experience in the public sector is highly desirable. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Excellent communication, customer service, and people skills. Consultative Skills: Basic understanding of the consultant role, both internally and externally. Familiarity with organizational structures and HR operations. Adaptability & Collaboration: Thrives in a flexible work environment, adapting schedules to effectively collaborate with colleagues and clients. Exceptional organizational skills and proficient time management, ensuring impactful HR support across different geographic locations. This role is perfect for those who are detail-oriented and able to manage complex HR functions while supporting a broad range of organizational needs. Education: Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field. AND

Experience: At least four (4) years professional Human Resources experience,

experience in public sector or non-profit is preferred.

Professional certifications, such as IPMA-CP, IPMA-CS, PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, CCP, WRIPAC, NEOGOV are preferred.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Possession of a valid driver’s license may be required for some assignments.
