Job Description

The Regional Human Resources Business Partner plays a critical role in supporting employee and facility management at Discovery Behavioral Health (DBH) to ensure compliance with required protocols. This position is essential in achieving the mission and goals of DBH.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic HR Consultation: Provides expert HR advice to facilities within assigned geographic regions, focusing on core staff and floor staff.
  • Employee Engagement and Retention: Collaborates with Facility and Divisional Leadership to improve employee engagement and retention within assigned regions.
  • Facility Plans: Assists in developing specific facility plans to reduce turnover and monitors progress in achieving turnover and retention goals.
  • HR Initiatives and ROI: Evaluates HR initiatives and measures return on investment (ROI) to support business strategies.
  • Employee Relations and Talent Management: Provides comprehensive support in employee relations, talent management, and improving culture.
  • Data Analysis and Solutions: Analyzes data and provides solutions to HR-related concerns, including turnover, coaching and development needs, and overall employee morale.
  • Performance Management: Provides day-to-day performance management support and guidance for facility leaders.
  • HR Education and Risk Management: Educates facility leaders on HR issues and legal risks, and partners with them to reduce potential risk.
  • Investigations and Resolution: Conducts investigations for employee-related claims and ensures fair resolution of issues in line with DBH policies and procedures.
  • Alignment and Communication: Ensures alignment of DBH values and objectives within facilities and communicates policies pertaining to Human Resources, compensation, and benefits to employees and management.
  • Employee Complaints and Exit Interviews: Manages employee complaints and conducts exit interviews as needed.
  • Employee Records and Disciplinary Action: Updates employee records related to transfers, pay changes, and promotions, and provides guidance to management in identifying issues in the workplace and resolving problems requiring disciplinary action and/or termination.
  • Facilitation and Training: Facilitates discussion and resolution of issues between management and staff, referring complex or legally sensitive issues to the Director of Employee Experience & Engagement or VP of HR. Trains existing and new facility leaders in Human Resources policies, procedures, and HRIS systems.
  • Travel and Core Competencies: Travels at least once a quarter to visit facilities within responsibility and possesses core competencies including proficiency in MS Office applications, ability to build and sustain trusting relationships, maintain confidentiality, and establish cooperative relationships with community-based organizations, patients, families, vendors, and other resources.
