About the Role

The Human Resources Coordinator is a key member of the Evans Hotels team, responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation of the HR function. This role assists associates with their needs and questions, provides prompt and courteous assistance, and directs to other specialists as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support HR Operations: Assist with onboarding, administration of files, compliance, documentation, associate recognition programs and events, and separations.
  • Coordinate with Talent Acquisition: Work with the talent acquisition team for hiring support, including job fair events, candidate screening, and managing recruitment traffic.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously improve processes in consultation with the Director of Human Resources, HR Business Partner, and other HR leaders.
  • Worker's Compensation and Safety: Assist in the coordination of worker's compensation and safety processes, track, log, and follow-up with injured associates.
  • Onboarding and Separations: Onboard new employees, ensure all related processes are carried out in accordance with company policy and federal/state/local laws.
  • Reporting and Data Management: Maintain and update reports for the Human Resources team and, as needed, for our managers.
  • Associate Relations and Investigations: Assist the human resources leadership team with associate relations concerns and investigations as directed.
  • File Maintenance: Maintain accurate files, audit files regularly to ensure compliance and documentation is accessible as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university.
  • Experience: At least 1-2 years of relevant experience and/or training.
  • Language: Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
  • Skills: Proficient with computer software such as Microsoft Office or related software, and HRIS systems.
  • Availability: Availability to work on weekends and holidays is required.
