POSITION SUMMARY The Associate Analyst, Financial Operations, will assist in the enhancement of financial operations, (areas including but not limited to Accounts Payable, Cash Management, Payroll, Billing, Collections, Accounts Receivable, and financial system reporting) through the use and adoption of new technology while maintaining close controls against fraud and additional risk. Improvements will emphasize accuracy, timeliness and compliance with state, federal and regulatory requirements, Company policy and the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Supports Financial Operations and Company objectives through the identification of financial operations shortcomings, proposes solutions, documents measurements for success, tests and deploys the solution with a relentless drive towards training, efficiency, and accuracy. Essential Functions Statement(s) Partner with departments to provide support, guidance, coordination, and process streamlining.

Executes SOX controls for financial systems in scope under business owner management.

Gains and maintains expertise and knowledge associated with the position including, but not limited to, Union CBA Letters of Agreement, Company standard terms and conditions, vendor terms, records retention, and regulatory requirements.

Maintains relationships with our primary financial systems vendors and supports trouble ticketing management.

Supports releases and roadmap planning for Financial Operations enhancements and initiatives.

Safeguards data integrity for supplier, customer, employee, banking, and transactional records.

Recommends financial operational policies and procedures and maintains appropriate documentation and detail in accordance with financial operations responsibilities and initiatives.

Ensures output is timely, accurate and effective.

SKILLS & ABILITIES Education : Associate degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. Equivalent education, experience and training may be substituted for the degree requirement on a year for year basis.

Experience:

Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a financial position. Computer Skills Demonstrate proficiency working with MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

End user knowledge of complex ERPs, Workday is a plus.
