Position Title: Financial Analyst I/II

Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Senior Finance Officer, the Financial Analyst I/II at the Alaska Housing Finance Corporation is responsible for gathering, assessing, analyzing, and reporting data pertinent to lending initiatives and debt issuance for management review or as stipulated by financial agreements.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED: This is an exempt, non-supervisory role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the interest rate setting system and monitor benchmark rates.
  • Review financial agreements and prepare summaries of bond obligations.
  • Evaluate proposed financing options and respond to stakeholder inquiries.
  • Perform additional related duties as required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge: Proficiency in economics, finance, accounting, financial instruments, municipal finance, real estate, and mortgage lending.

Skills and Abilities: Expertise in financial analysis, data collection, statistical analysis, financial modeling, micro-computing systems, and complex financial agreements review, along with strong communication skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must possess a Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field, along with 1-3 years of experience in financial analysis or a similar area. An advanced degree or CPA certification is preferred. A strong command of micro-computing systems and software is essential.

This Financial Analyst position offers an annual salary of $62,216.53 along with a comprehensive benefits package.
