THE POSITION

We are seeking a hands-on, hard-working, detail-oriented professional to join our team making a difference in our community. The Staff Accountant will perform a variety of accounting functions including, handling full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable duties, assisting in the monthly closing process, processing mailing functions for all products shipped out of our facility, and preparing account analysis/reconciliations in support of the daily functions of the finance department. This position is full-time in the office with no remote work option.

Job Description/Responsibilities

Handle full-cycle Accounts Receivable duties, including creation of customer invoices, post customer payments by recording checks and credit card transactions, and client communications Handle full-cycle Accounts Payable duties, including processing of bills, obtaining proper authorizations, check payments, expense reports, vendor statements, and credit card receipts Verify vendor contracts for accurate payment Responsible for the timely completion of assigned month-end close activities and financial statement preparation Compile and analyze financial data to prepare journal entries for general ledger accounts Analyze and review accounting data for reasonableness and material errors Prepare monthly account reconciliations Performing ad-hoc reporting and analysis as needed Maintain positive working relationships with clients and staff Understand and adhere to the policies and procedures of Community Impact Printing Providing analysis, management reporting, planning, and accounting support to our growing business Analyze, apply, and improve policies, procedures, controls, and job costing methodologies Drive the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques to ensure timely cash collection Flexible in completing tasks beyond formal job responsibilities Produce cash-flow reports, calculate cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and manage daily cash Oversee inventory and supply chain management according to company guidelines Perform critical inventory tasks to ensure the correct number of items are in stock Maintain updated and accurate records of inventory, including transfers and cycle counts Respond to sales inquiries and purchase orders; collect and analyze data to determine appropriate order quantities; process orders for shipment Reconciling processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances Processing mailing for all products produced by Community Impact Printing to maximize profitability. The ability to work independently is crucial.

Qualifications

Bachelors’ degree in Accounting or related field is preferred 2-5 years of general accounting experience preferred Experience with accounting software; Proficiency in NetSuite a plus Industrial/Manufacturing experience a plus, not required The individual will be expected to be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the accounting and finance field, including cost accounting. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, and strong interpersonal skills are a must, as well as willingness to accept and take ownership of new responsibilities in a fast-growing environment. Ability to multi-task with moderate supervision.
