We are seeking a motivated Cross-Training Imaging Specialist to contribute to our goals and enhance patient care.

Job Responsibilities of the Cross-Training Imaging Specialist

This role requires a solid to expert understanding of the imaging modalities for which you are being cross-trained. You will independently perform various procedures on patients of all ages, from newborns to seniors. Your responsibilities include:

  • Delivering and promoting high-quality patient care in alignment with the Mission, Vision, and Values of St. David's Healthcare.
  • Maintaining compliance with facility technical and documentation standards in accordance with JCAHO regulations.
  • Demonstrating compassion and professionalism in interactions with patients, medical staff, and colleagues.
  • Exercising independent critical thinking skills and taking accountability for both personal and team contributions.
Qualifications for the Cross-Training Imaging Specialist

Education:

  • Associate Degree in a relevant field.
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved radiologic technology program.

Experience:

  • A minimum of two years of diagnostic experience in an acute care setting is preferred.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Current certification as a registered technologist by ARRT (R) with CE compliance.
  • Certification as a Medical Radiologic Technologist with the Texas Medical Board.
  • Registration as a Computerized Tomography Technician must be obtained within six months of employment.
  • ARRT certification in MRI must be achieved within one year of employment.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
