Primary Responsibilities:
  • Prepares all permit applications for licenses (business, beer, food, fuel, etc.) required to operate in the states in which Tri Star operates. Must compile the required information by working closely with various support center departments and C-Store managers.
  • Combines the collected information to prepare, validate, and submit renewal applications for regulatory licenses and permits.
  • Manages the retention of all licensing documents related to violations, inspection notices, surety bonds, and other confidential corporate documents.
  • Monitors the current status of filed applications to ensure timely filing and completion by the regulatory agencies.
  • Responsible for tracking and calendaring all license renewals to ensure the timely filing of all renewal applications to avoid a lapse in service or late fees.
  • Responsible for working closely with the construction team on store remodels and new-to-industry locations to schedule inspections needed for licensing the new location to open to the public on time and files all required applications with the local jurisdictions.
  • Performs other clerical duties such as scheduling appointments, providing information to operations or the support center staff regarding licensing, composing and typing routine correspondence to licensing jurisdictions, and reading and routing incoming mail.
  • Prepares check requests for all licensing fees and ensures payments are made in accordance with jurisdictional requirements and deadlines.
  • Prepares affidavits of documents and maintains the licensing tracking system and files.
  • Maintains the store files with all correspondence and permits.
Required Qualifications:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree
  • 1-3 years of experience in a corporate environment or licensing/compliance position
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize daily tasks to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively and productively both independently and with others.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in the C-Store, energy, retail, and/or hospitality industries
