This position will be pivotal in building a strategic HR Business Partner function that can influence the culture, enhancing leader effectiveness, and drive business results. The Manager, HR Business Partner will also serve as a partner to other members of the HR team helping to communicate and implement HR processes and programs.

Responsibilities

  • Establish collaborative business relationships with leaders of specific functional areas and provide strategic advice and hands-on support related to people matters
  • Provide direct leadership to a team HR Business Partners providing modeling of strategic HRBP behaviors and skills and assistance with complex people matters
  • Guide and assist managers in their team members' performance, development, succession planning, retention, engagement, and progression
  • Proactively engage with client groups to anticipate situations and propose solutions to overcome challenges or barriers and support business growth
  • Support the performance management process, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and development plans
  • Serve as a voice for team members by advocating for the use of feedback mechanisms with managers and the executive team formally and informally
  • Coach managers on providing effective feedback and fostering a high-performance culture
  • Encourage managerial practices that promote retention of high potential and key talent
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance issues
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition team & hiring managers as needed on recruitment strategies and compensation practices
  • Conduct investigations and manage complex employee relations cases, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies
  • Assist the broader HR team in the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies, programs, and procedures
  • Lead and participate in initiatives that enhance employee engagement; promote a strong organizational culture and contribute to core HR process improvements
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience as a strategic HR Business Partner; experience in private equity and/or manufacturing environments a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in human resource management, business administration, or related field preferred
  • Experience directly managing other HRBPs or HR team members preferred
  • Proficient understanding of local labor laws and regulations spanning multiple states
  • Demonstrated success in devising and executing HR strategies and initiatives that yield tangible business outcomes
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling the establishment of effective relationships across all organizational levels
  • Possession of an analytical mindset, adept at utilizing HR data and metrics to derive insights and facilitate decision-making
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, adeptly managing multiple priorities
  • Strong problem-solving abilities coupled with a solution-oriented approach, exhibiting both strategic thinking and tactical execution
  • Possession of professional HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-SCP, PHR, CIPD) preferred
  • Experience with HRIS systems such as UKG preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Travel Requirement
  • Candidate must be able to travel up to 30%
