What does it mean to be a Senior HR Administration Specialist at GLS?

The Senior Human Resources Administration Specialist is responsible for leading administrative HR programs and processes to optimize business operations utilizing current technology and market trends. Key functions include oversight and management of payroll processing, benefits and leaves administration, compensation support, HR analytics/workforce reporting, record/data management, facilities management, and all related regulatory and compliance initiatives.

How will you drive value within the organization as a Senior HR Administration Specialist?
    • HRIS Management/Payroll Processing/Reporting & Analytics:
    • Administer and drive optimization of the company's HRIS; strategizing enhancements to the company's selected platform(s) to increase efficiency and ensure data integrity
    • Direct accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly payroll, ensuring compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations
    • Responsible for the oversight of reporting and compliance of payroll tax liability
    • Establish and maintain consistent reporting protocols to inform the business of relevant workforce analytics, adjusting to the needs of the business and industry trends as necessary
    • Establish and follow applicable record retention laws and incorporate appropriate security safeguards to manage all employee records efficiently and effectively
    • Benefits Management/Vendor Relationship Management/Regulatory Compliance:
    • Lead optimization of benefit offerings and administration on all benefits matters including evaluating vendor selection, plan design options, and conducting cost-benefit analysis of new and existing programs
    • Proactively manage relationships with HR Administration vendors to ensure proper execution of services.
    • As a Benefit Ambassador, plan for, implement and promote resources to enhance benefit systems and programs including employee self-service for all benefits offerings
    • Provide oversight and direct processes for assigned ancillary programs including but not limited to unemployment, Worker's Compensation, and leaves administration, ensuring compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations.
    • Act as the key resource for regulatory and compliance governance and reporting as it relates to all relevant national, state, and local employment laws associated with assigned processes including Wage & Hour, ERISA, OSHA, ACA, etc.
    • Project Management/Organizational & Departmental Support:
    • Ensure functionality, appealing layout and overall maintenance of company-wide SharePoint home page and other HR Administration pages as assigned.
    • Oversee day-to-day HR Administration group projects and assignments to maintain a balanced workload and optimize team output, delivering on a commitment to provide top quality information, service, and support
    • Motivate, develop and coach assigned staff to optimum performance including establishing sound performance expectations
    • Collaborate with HR partners in support of the overall organization to design and deliver on key strategic projects: provide feedback, input, and change management considerations to ensure that end products are relevant, applicable and achieve desired end results
    • Work in conjunction with operational leaders as a key resource for capacity planning of all physical facilities
    • Manage contract vendors and suppliers to ensure functionality and proper maintenance of all physical facilities, furnishings, and fixtures
    • Participate in special projects as assigned
    • Perform additional assignments as required by the needs of the company or as directed by management
What should you already know to be successful as a Senior HR Administration Specialist?
    • Minimum of bachelor's degree required. In lieu of bachelor's degree
    • Minimum five (5) years' progressive experience leading operational programs and processes to optimize business operations required. Experience within the HR Operations spectrum including payroll, benefits, compensation, analytics and reporting strongly preferred
    • Experience with evaluation, implementation, administration and/or management of systems required
    • Intrinsically motivated with demonstrated ability to take initiative, identify needs, make recommendations for improvement, see recommendations through implementation, and evaluate improvements for effectiveness
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills: friendly and tactful with the ability to influence others, effectively manage conflict, exercise sound judgment, effectively manage highly sensitive and confidential information, and interact at all levels within the organization
    • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
    • Demonstrated proficiency in organizing resources, establishing priorities and driving results
    • Commitment to exemplifying the organizational core values and key competencies
    • Demonstrated ability to motivate and lead a team
    • Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail and demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple conflicting priorities
    • Ability to think strategically and deliver tactically
    • Proficient computer skills with working knowledge of internet and standard business applications such as Microsoft Office; ability to quickly learn new computer applications as required
Employment Requirements:
    • Remain in a stationary position 50% of the workday
    • Must be able to constantly operate a computer and other standard office equipment
    • Must be able to talk and hear to exchange accurate information
    • Must have close visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading
    • This position is full-time
    • The position generally does not require travel but may require limited travel from time-to-time
