The HR Generalist will:

  • Identify and ensure compliance with legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting HR functions.
  • Assist the HR Manager in developing and overseeing Employee Training Programs.
  • Support the recruitment process by conducting interviews and assessments for open positions.
  • Facilitate new employee orientation to promote a positive outlook towards organizational objectives.
  • Maintain accurate records of benefits participation, personnel transactions, and employee statistics for compliance reporting.
  • Coordinate training for management and staff on interviewing, hiring, terminations, and performance evaluations.
  • Address employee inquiries regarding insurance and benefits issues.
  • Advise management on resolving employee relations challenges and respond to questions about policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the administration of performance review and salary administration programs to ensure fairness and compliance.
  • Manage benefits programs including health, dental, life insurance, and retirement plans.
  • Oversee documentation related to disciplinary actions and maintain records of probationary periods.
  • Collaborate with management in investigating workplace incidents and preparing necessary reports.
  • Prepare reports for insurance carriers and regulatory bodies as required.
  • Assist with safety inspections and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
  • Conduct wage surveys to assess competitive pay rates.
  • Process enrollment documentation for benefits and manage changes in employee benefits.
  • Prepare budgets for HR operations and manage employee separation documentation.
  • Represent the organization in personnel-related hearings and investigations.
  • Facilitate the necessary documentation for visa applications for foreign employees.
  • Engage with external vendors for employee services such as health testing and background checks.
  • Provide guidance to employees and managers on HR policies and procedures.
  • Uphold confidentiality standards for all employee records and information.
