The HR Generalist position is a full time, 40 hours per week position, and is responsible for performing routine tasks required to support human resource programs guided by Senior Director of Human Resources. Daily tasks include but are not limited to benefits, leave of absence, and updating HRIS system.
Qualifications:
- Associates Degree in the field of Human Resources or related field required
- Previous human resource experience preferred
- 1 year benefit administration required.
- Previous experience in ADP or other HRIS preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs as well as other computer programs required
- Excellent interpersonal skills including communication, writing, and organization required.
Responsibilities:
- Process employee benefit enrollment paperwork including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, short-term disability, long-term disability, and tax-sheltered annuity programs.
- Maintain HRIS system to include employee transfers, benefits, deductions, position changes, and ACA compliance.
- Maintain union notifications for all employee transfers, new hires and position changes.
- Assist HR Director annual open enrollment.
- Assists new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Maintains deduction reconciliation and works closely with payroll on all employment related inquiries.
- Review and track compliance of competencies, evaluations, and job descriptions.
- Attend seminars, workshops and professional affiliation meetings
- Promote good employee relations and interdepartmental relations
- Gather statistical data and reports as assigned
- The individual will be cross trained to multiple areas within the HR Department
- All other duties as assigned
