**What hats you may wear**: This _**contingent**_position supports the Department of Justice OA Human Resources Support Services. The Contractor shall provide day-to-day technical and administrative services to assist in the processing of benefits and compensation for federal employees using the National Finance Center and OPM systems.

**Day-to-day duties and responsibilities**:
The successful applicant can be expected to perform the following duties in the discharge of this position:

- Day-to-day technical and administrative assistance in processing benefit and compensation for federal employees using OPM systems
- Perform technical and analytical tasks
- Process a variety of payroll/personnel actions
- Run reports using the National Finance Center (NFC) reporting center
- Research and explain payroll or benefits issues
- Provide guidance and advice to supervisors, timekeepers, and employees on the OJP payroll system
- Provide information on the various benefits programs associated with Federal employment
- Provide programmatic support to the HR Division Associate Director(s) and Deputy Director
- Work with federal staff to be the front-line point of contact for benefits and pay related questions
- Analyze, interpret, and assist on a variety of pay management issues including Time and Attendance

**REQUIRED Qualifications we’re looking for**:

- **Bachelors’ Degree from an accredited institution**:

- **A minimum of seven (7) years of experience working in a federal human resources environment**:

- Strong MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and scanning skills
- Proficient in use of technology such as ServiceNow workflows
- Proficient analytical and writing skills
- The ability to work with customers/clients
- Oral communication skills to, at times, provide advice to program and project leaders (e.g. HR Director, COR) on various projects or systems (e.g. Avue, eOPF);
- The ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of OJP personnel; and
- Ability to ensure confidentiality of employee and contractor information and adhere to appropriate procedures for safeguarding sensitive personnel security document/files. Protects PII and PHI records from unauthorized use and mishandling.
