Statement of Job:
The experienced staff members of the Catherine Cutler Institute work collaboratively to help partnering organizations and communities thrive in a changing world by translating knowledge and best practices into sustainable solutions that are responsive to societal needs and focused on meaningful outcomes.

The Grants & Contracts Manager provides technical and analytical expertise to Project Directors (PDs) and Staff involved in externally funded projects. As part of the Research Service Center Team, the Grants & Contract Manager is responsible for a broad range of grant-related financial and administrative activities from proposal development through contract award and project creation through final closeout/audit.

The Grants & Contracts Manager assists (PDs) in the management of project budgets; maintains tools that support project and program management; ensures necessary reports and invoices are filed; provides high-quality customer service; and assists the Assistant Director, Research Service Center, and program staff to develop specific training or other solutions needed for efficient financial grants management.

This is a full-time in-person position and will be located on the Portland Campus. A hybrid work schedule (up to 3 days a week) is an option after the first 6 months. Annual salary is listed below next to the minimum requirements (based upon level).

Qualifications:
**Level 1 (Annual salary $62,000) -**
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience will be considered.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a team environment and provide customer service to internal and external customers at all levels.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in a clear and organized manner.
- Ability to work independently and balance multiple priorities.

**Level 2 (Annual salary $65,000) - In addition to above**:

- Bachelor’s degree and at least 3+ years of directly related experience
- Working knowledge of government regulations, cost principles and administrative requirement
- applicable to contracts and grants.
- General accounting experience.
