The primary objective is to ensure that grantors receive precise and timely financial reports while adhering to federal regulations. This role will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and collaborate closely with the Director of Refugee Resettlement & Newcomer Services. As our organization expands, new reporting processes will be implemented, making adaptability a vital trait for this position.
The core duties of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Entering data into QuickBooks Online and other client-specific software.
- Managing configurations and extracting data from various vendor portals.
- Identifying and reporting inaccuracies in data capture.
- Being mindful of deadlines and proactively preparing data for reporting.
- Conducting monthly reconciliations of grants.
- Executing additional tasks as assigned by the Chief Financial Officer.
- Maintaining professional communication and respect among colleagues.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree is preferred, though candidates demonstrating strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities may be considered.
- Experience in accounting for federal grants is advantageous.
- Proficiency in MS Office and a solid understanding of standard software applications.
- Ability to manage large datasets effectively.
- Trustworthiness and a commitment to confidentiality.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication abilities.
- Excellent time management skills with the capacity to meet deadlines.
- Willingness to adapt to change and learn new processes.
