The Financial Grants Coordinator will be instrumental in ensuring precise data management for grant reporting. The primary objective is to provide our grantors with timely and accurate financial reports while adhering to federal regulations. This role will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and collaborate closely with the Director of Refugee Resettlement & Newcomer Services. As our organization evolves, the ability to adapt to new reporting processes is crucial.
The main duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Inputting data into QuickBooks Online and other client-specific software.
- Managing configurations and extracting data from various vendor portals.
- Identifying and reporting inaccuracies in data capture.
- Being aware of deadlines and proactively preparing data for reporting.
- Conducting monthly reconciliations of grant accounts.
- Performing additional tasks as assigned by the Chief Financial Officer.
- Maintaining a respectful and professional communication with all colleagues.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree is preferred, but candidates demonstrating strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities may be considered.
- Experience in accounting for federal grants is advantageous.
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with standard software applications.
- Ability to manage large datasets effectively.
- Trustworthy with a commitment to confidentiality.
- Exceptional organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong communication abilities.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Willingness to adapt to change and a desire to learn.
