A successful applicant should be able to actively contribute in all aspects of a project, from programming and conceptual design to technical documentation and construction, and be willing to meet the Design Team's promises.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

  • Experience in the development and layout of architectural contract papers and specifications.
  • 5+ years of architecture expertise is desirable.
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in architecture is necessary.
  • LEED AP BC+D desirable, or desire to pursue accreditation.
  • Experience in education (K-12, Higher Ed), government and municipal initiatives, sports, correctional work, and healthcare is all advantageous.
  • A licensed architect (in any of the 50 US states) is necessary. The possibility to get a license in the state of Tennessee is predicted. Exceptions may apply to highly qualified individuals with appropriate experience.
  • Experienced in developing project plans and schedules.
  • Detail-oriented and communicative.
Ability to:

- Manage client and consultant relationships.-oversee production, direct, encourage, and mentor more junior employees.-Work alone and cooperatively with a team.-Lead projects in a dual management capacity as needed.

Working knowledge of architectural design documents, details, building materials and codes, construction methods, and building material compatibility and characteristics.

  • Appropriate writing and communication skills.
  • Analytic and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient with Autodesk Revit and conversant with relevant tools and processes.
