ABOUT THE JOB
The purpose of the Sports Outreach Coordinator is to provide leadership, strategy and alignment for sports outreach for all ages and demographics and provide discipleship strategy to men's ministry
PREREQUISITES
- Ability to meet all minimum eligibility requirements to be a member of First Naples Church.
- Affirm the First Naples statements of belief and practices as codified in our organizational bylaws and detailed in the Baptist Faith and Message confessional statement of 2000.
- Maintain a close and healthy walk with the Lord Jesus Christ.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works in coordination with the overall goals and objectives of First Naples.
- Assists the Executive Pastor of Administration to work toward excellence in all areas of the ministry.
- Provide visionary and strategic leadership to Sports Outreach in cooperation with mission and vision of First Naples.
- Lead, coach and supervise each component of Sports Outreach to execute the strategy and vision of First Naples.
- Setting the strategies for the type of sports and ages that First Naples will offer.
- Evaluates new and ongoing events and systems to connect individuals and families to ongoing ministries of First Naples.
- Provides leadership and be a catalyst for engaging parents and participants in Sports Outreach events.
- Supervises Sports Outreach team.
- Maintains compliance with assigned budgets and expense allocations.
- Assists in the adherence of church branding and marketing guidelines
- Maintains a cooperative spirit by assisting others when needed or requested.
- Communicates effectively with leaders, peers, and members.
- Demonstrates stewardship of church resources including supplies, equipment, and intellectual property.
- Understands and adhere to procedural guidelines and policies.
QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED)
- This person must have proficiency in managing large scale sports programs, volunteers and officials.
- The individual must have excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work with a diverse group of people, communicate clearly and effectively on the telephone, e-mail and in person, demonstrating tact and diplomacy.
- The ability to simultaneously conceptualize and plan multiple tasks; project outcomes using different implementation strategies; and apply creative and innovative thinking to problem situations is required.
- Ability and knowledge to understand and solve problems.
- Must be able to demonstrate written and verbal communication skills.
- A servant's heart and willingness to work and be available at different hours
- Positive team player with commitment to quality.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task.
