Position Overview:

The Hearing Care Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring that patients receive outstanding care and assistance. This position collaborates closely with clinical staff to facilitate seamless patient experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcome patients with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Conduct follow-up outreach to patients for scheduling hearing assessments and consultations.
  • Manage patient intake documentation and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Coordinate and confirm patient appointments efficiently.
  • Perform insurance benefit verifications and obtain necessary authorizations.
  • Provide initial support to patients, addressing inquiries, checking patients in and out, and processing payments.
  • Assist with hearing aid repairs under the guidance of a licensed professional.
  • Prepare financial deposits and submit daily financial reports.
  • Possess general sales knowledge for hearing aid accessories and patient support products.
  • Handle patient orders, ensuring accuracy in processing and pick-up.
  • Maintain cleanliness and functionality of equipment and instruments.
  • Submit requests for equipment and facility needs.
  • Perform general office duties, including cleaning and organization.
  • Oversee inventory management, including ordering and monitoring supplies.
  • Support event planning and logistics for community outreach initiatives.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
  • Prior experience or knowledge of hearing aids is advantageous.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong ability to build relationships with patients, healthcare providers, and clinical teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) is a plus.
Experience:
  • A minimum of 2 years in a healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Previous customer service experience is essential.
