The Center for Dialog & Resolution (CDR) is an independent non-profit 501(c)(3) mediation service provider, training center, and consulting service in downtown Tacoma, Washington. This position’s foremost responsibility functions as the primary team member responsible for coordinating our consulting services projects and programs for the business development team. Duties include managing specific stages of projects through daily project tasks, communications, and coordination of the project team’s actions to ensure positive and professional client and contractor experiences from initial requests through completed projects and future business relationships. Attends all project meetings, monitors schedules and costs, and follows up on issues. Works collaboratively with internal teams, external clients, and contractors to ensure regular communication necessary for a successful outcome. Assignments may vary in length and complexity but are generally not permanent. This position does not supervise staff but will provide work direction to individuals with less experience or who are supporting a project. Responsibilities include working with confidential and highly sensitive information, often with legal ramifications. This position is expected to contribute to the inclusive, positive, and professional working relationship with staff, mediators, volunteers, clients, organizational partners, and community.

The ideal candidate will be a great communicator meaning they can listen, understand, and offer their differing perspectives while being professional, clear and empathetic. Comfortability using technology, specifically Microsoft platforms is essential. The candidate must be familiar with the business processes of Project Management. Center for Dialog & Resolution is seeking candidates with:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 2+years’ Professional-level experience in project management
  • Demonstrate regular use of professional writing standards for correspondence, proposal & contracts;
  • Demonstrate high-level competency of organizational skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities, timelines, and multifaceted projects/tasks both independently and in collaboration with other people involved.
  • Demonstrate ability to provide quality customer service while maintaining a consistent, courteous, and professional demeanor with people experiencing conflict;
  • Experience with public speaking (online and in person)
