The CRRA assists in promoting and implementing the bishops’ strategic plan for the Conference and demonstrates shared qualities of effectiveness in all work interactions. Contributes to the Bishops’ strategic plan for the conference and demonstrates willingness and ability to understand, respect and contribute to the USCCB mission and to fulfill job duties in accordance with its Catholic identity.

Program Development:

•Conducts outreach to ethnic-based community organizations, refugees working in resettlement and resettlement agencies to solicit feedback on program components to include the basics of case management, social work principles and the Reception and Placement program

•Creates, revises and finalizes program curriculum, assigns learning objectives for each course, identifies best format for each module

•Ensures the development of e-learning content, partners with consultant to create relevant e-learning courses

•Develops overall mechanism to assess student progress towards learning goals and eventual graduation from the program

•Will launch and manage a page for RRA on USCCB’s resource website, MRSConnect

•Creates materials to advertise the program, creates referral pipeline by conducting outreach to stakeholders

•Creates processes and develops resources for post program graduation career-based goal plans, potentially to include mentoring, resume help, connection to employment opportunities, job shadowing or volunteer opportunities

Program Operations:

Market RRA to relevant partners: affiliates in the USCCB network, other national and local resettlement agencies, ethnic based community agencies, etc. Attend various working groups and meetings to represent RRA and USCCB/MRS.

•Onboard program students to include initial assessment and career-based goal plans.

•Contributes to program enrollment and benchmark completion, adjusts curriculum and processes in response

•Develops educational materials and resources relevant to RRA, works with external graphic designers where needed

•Serves as the lead facilitator for RRA workshops with a dynamic and participatory style

•Works with community organizations with expertise in certain areas like domestic violence and mental health to develop and facilitate specialized workshops

•Works with students to create and work towards career-based goal plans, make connections to work experience activities like mentoring, resume help, job shadowing or volunteer opportunities

•Responds to requests from federal funders

•Set up systems and collects required data

•Provides significant contributions to funder reports, including written narrative and data components

•Participates in on-site and remote monitoring visits in collaboration with Field Support Coordinators, as needed to bolster understanding of the needs of case managers.

Public Engagement/Program Advancement:

•Works closely with the Diocesan Advisory Group, an advisory board of resettlement directors, to gather information and finetune the program.

•Actively seeks out opportunities to present information about Refugee Resettlement Academy at locations such as conferences, universities, community-based organizations, etc.

•Engages with refugee serving organizations, State Refugee Coordinators, State Refugee Health Coordinators, and other key stakeholders in program expansion efforts.

Supervision

•Manages and supervises volunteers, interns, and temporary workers for special projects identified by the Coordinator for the Refugee Resettlement Academy and/or their supervisor.

Decision Areas:

Under the general supervision of Assistant Director for the Refugee Resettlement Academy, the CRRA has significant latitude in making decisions and recommendations affecting the program. Areas of decision making authority include:

•Technical assistance and training

•External representation and collaboration

•Program administration, including program review and development

Level:Graduate degree desirable, plus 3 years’ experience

Major Field/Specialty: Social Work, Program Management, International Development, Forced Migration or related field.

Number of Years Required: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in related field

The starting salary for this position is: $67,637

Upper range: $84,519
