About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Migrant Protection and Integration Policy Advisor. As a key member of our policy and advocacy team, you will play a critical role in advancing our mission to protect and integrate newcomers impacted by US Government immigration policy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote humane treatment and integration of asylum seekers and other vulnerable populations.
  • Conduct research and analysis on legal and policy issues related to immigration, asylum, and refugee resettlement.
  • Prepare and disseminate advocacy materials and educational campaigns to raise awareness about the needs and challenges faced by newcomers.
  • Build and maintain relationships with coalition partners, stakeholders, and government officials to advance our policy agenda.
  • Provide policy and legal analysis to support the development of effective programs and services for newcomers.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure a comprehensive approach to policy and advocacy efforts.
Requirements
  • Masters degree or law degree in a related field, such as international relations, public policy, or social work.
  • 2-4 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a policy or advocacy role.
  • Expertise in immigration, asylum, and refugee resettlement policies and procedures.
  • Strong research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
