Job Description

Program Overview

The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Coordinator for the Refugee Resettlement Academy (RRA) to join our team. The RRA is a program designed to provide training and support to refugees and asylum seekers in the United States.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct outreach to community organizations, resettlement agencies, and other stakeholders to gather feedback on program components and develop effective case management strategies.
  • Create and revise program curriculum, assign learning objectives, and identify best formats for each module.
  • Develop e-learning content and partner with consultants to create relevant courses.
  • Establish mechanisms to assess student progress towards learning goals and graduation from the program.
  • Launch and manage a page for RRA on the USCCB's resource website, MRSConnect.
  • Develop materials to advertise the program and create referral pipelines through outreach to stakeholders.
  • Develop processes and resources for post-program graduation career-based goal plans, including mentoring, resume help, and job shadowing opportunities.

Program Operations

  • Market RRA to relevant partners, including affiliates in the USCCB network, national and local resettlement agencies, and ethnic-based community agencies.
  • Attend working groups and meetings to represent RRA and USCCB/MRS.
  • Onboard program students, including initial assessment and career-based goal plans.
  • Contribute to program enrollment and benchmark completion, adjusting curriculum and processes as needed.
  • Develop educational materials and resources relevant to RRA, working with external graphic designers as needed.
  • Serve as the lead facilitator for RRA workshops, using a dynamic and participatory style.
  • Work with community organizations to develop and facilitate specialized workshops.
  • Work with students to create and work towards career-based goal plans, connecting them to work experience activities.
  • Respond to requests from federal funders.
  • Set up systems and collect required data.
  • Provide significant contributions to funder reports, including written narrative and data components.
  • Participate in on-site and remote monitoring visits, collaborating with Field Support Coordinators as needed.

Public Engagement/Program Advancement

  • Work closely with the Diocesan Advisory Group to gather information and fine-tune the program.
  • Actively seek out opportunities to present information about RRA at conferences, universities, and community-based organizations.
  • Engage with refugee-serving organizations, State Refugee Coordinators, and other key stakeholders in program expansion efforts.

Supervision

  • Manage and supervise volunteers, interns, and temporary workers for special projects identified by the Coordinator for the Refugee Resettlement Academy and/or their supervisor.

Decision Areas

  • Under the general supervision of the Assistant Director for the Refugee Resettlement Academy, the CRRA has significant latitude in making decisions and recommendations affecting the program, including technical assistance and training, external representation and collaboration, and program administration.

Requirements

  • Graduate degree desirable, plus 3 years' experience in a related field.
  • Major Field/Specialty: Social Work, Program Management, International Development, Forced Migration, or related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a related field.

Compensation

  • Starting salary: $67,637.
  • Upper range: $84,519.
