Position Summary:

The Commercial Sales Inside Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative and operational support to the Commercial Sales Manager and Commercial Sales team in servicing their assigned customer base. The primary objective is to facilitate the quoting, sales, procurement and delivery process, enhance customer satisfaction, and contribute to the overall success of the Commercial Sales Department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Learn company products, services, procedures, culture, and customer service philosophy
  • Maintain knowledge of vendors, vendor catalogs and discount structure
  • Assist the Commercial Sales Manager in all aspects of the quoting, sales, procurement and delivery process
  • Act as the primary contact for the Commercial Sales Manager and select commercial accounts
  • Respond to customer inquiries promptly and professionally, providing accurate information and assistance
  • Coordinate the sourcing of non-stock items, place special orders, price and create special orders and purchase orders, and communicate estimated delivery dates
  • Prepare and distribute sales materials, presentations, and proposals as required
  • Take orders directly from the Commercial Sales Manager or customers in person, over the phone, text or email
  • Coordinate and prepare price quotes, estimates and bids
  • Serve as point of contact for customers
  • Maintain strong relationship with existing customers, fostering loyalty and repeat business
  • Handle customer complaints and escalation with empathy and a focus on resolution
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in commercial construction, sales, or customer service role, preferably in a commercial environment
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, CRM software, and other sales-related tools
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated and proactive
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills techniques and techniques
  • A customer-centric mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service
  • Professional demeanor and a positive attitude towards colleagues and customers alike
