PRIMARY PURPOSE:

The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for the inside sales activities for the company. This position will work to achieve maximum profitability and growth with customers and partners that align with Grip-Tite’s vision and core values.

FOCUS:

  • Maintains contact with key customers/representatives on a regular basis to ensure high levels of satisfaction and engagement.
  • Follows up on all quotes and develops initiatives to turn all quotes into orders.
  • Meets sales goals and objectives set by leadership.
  • Takes part in developmental opportunities to increase sales success rates.
  • Augments up-selling and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Ensures a smooth flow from order intake to order fulfillment to delivery.
  • Provides customers/representatives with effective solutions to assist in achieving their goals.
  • Works collectively with manufacturer reps and electric utilities to ensure effective communications with each contact.
  • Maintains accurate records of products, pricing, sales, and activity of orders/shipments.
  • Prospects for new business opportunities and works with the Sales Manager on projects as assigned.
  • Quotes and closes sales transactions within set paraments, completing all required sales documentation.
  • Researches and learns the Grip-Tite product line as well as competitor offerings to offer the best solutions based on customer interests and concerns.
  • Utilizes client feedback to generate ideas about new features, products and / or service offerings.
  • Contacts prospective customers to determine customer needs and explains available products and services.
  • Quotes and closes sales transactions within set parameters, completing all required sales documentation.
  • Documents specifications required by individual customers.
  • Provides technical support for products.
  • Participates in sales meetings and contributes meaningful input to drive revenue.
  • Provide expedite updates to customers on all orders.
  • Respond to all customer inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Completes assigned training modules as assigned.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Must possess at least 5 years of applicable experience in solid customer service and / or inside sales. Preferred candidates will have utility or anchoring product background.
  • Ability to understand customers business needs and pain points.
  • Ability to think, act and work independently within a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be a utility player and possess the ability to find resolutions to issues that arise.
  • Strong computer skills with experience in MS Office, ERP, and reporting systems.
  • Extremely organized.
  • Must have experience in being accountable to achieve departmental measures and metrics.
  • Articulate, and possesses excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong business development skills.
  • Ability to take in product knowledge and explain/educate customers on product specifics – weights, installation methods, regulations, etc.
  • Work with internal technical staff and sales management as required.
  • Field sales experience is a plus but not required.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field from a four-year college or university (preferred). Will accept proven applicable experience in lieu of degree.

TRAVEL:

*Limited travel will be required in this position. A valid driver's license is required.
