Position Overview:
Goodwill Industries of NWNC, Inc. is looking for a talented, skilled, and experienced Human Resources Coordinator to be responsible for administrative and clerical support for all functional areas of the Human Resources operations. This work includes but is not limited to the creation of reports, spreadsheets, forms, documents, mailings, presentations and memos. This position is also responsible for reviewing and ensuring that entries into the Human Resources Management System are accurate and contain all required supporting documentation, creating and maintaining personnel files, leading and participating in special projects, assisting internal and external customers with inquiries and questions, maintaining confidentiality, and full support of HR operations.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Owns internal processes and processes data for HR transactions within company systems, such as status changes in the HRIS system.
- Serves as point of contact for essential internal human resources processes and provides customer service to internal employees.
- Communicates with external vendors to ensure processes are running smoothly and to gather data for transactional updates, such as verifying prior employment.
- Answers general human resources questions.
- Works “on-call” to answer front line HR questions.
Educational Requirements:
Associate degree required; Bachelor degree in Business, HR, or closely related field, preferred. HR certificate or certification is also preferred but not required.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of Human Resources experience required.
- Experience in HRIS preferred.
- Experience working with confidential information.
- Advanced computer skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and multi-task.
- Excellent time management problem-solving skills.
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
