We are recruiting an expert Area HR Manager to work on-site at our Claremont or Catawba, NC, facility. This role supports our North American Manufacturing facilities and reports to the Senior Director HR Business Partner. It provides critical support and execution around people initiatives while delivering solid internal support to the broader HR team, site leaders and partners.
 
How You'll Help Us Connect the World:
This role leads all aspects of the HR function for our facilities in Catawba, Claremont, Pineville, NC, and Santa Ana, CA. It provides expert advice and counsel on interpersonal efficiency, employee relations, change management, employee communication, and effective policies, practices, and procedures. Support local leadership with the changing needs of the business; and form lasting relationships between HR and leadership to work in an environment of teamwork.
Responsible for effective recruitment and selection management and building a long-term strategy to ensure appropriate headcount by driving talent programs such as skills-based pay and apprenticeships.
Establish relationships with local government agencies to collaborate closely on HR funding (particularly training grants) and other support and be an ambassador for CommScope.
Lead the HR and support teams to deliver operational excellence and ensure individual development is supported, as well as employee career paths, training and development needs and opportunities for employee retention.
 
Six or more years running an HR team in a large manufacturing environment with validated experience and knowledge of HR practices and employment issues.
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP/Talent Connections.
 
HR certification (i.e., Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in the HR field
Previous experience successfully changing the culture into one of innovation and diversity
