Founded in 1948 by John Pridgeon and Donald Clay, we are one of the largest independent, value-added manufacturers and suppliers of automotive stamped and fine-blanked components in the United States.

Objective: The Human Resources Assistant - Receptionist will assist the Human Resources, Payroll/Benefits, and Training departments by performing various human resources duties and projects, while at the front desk in an exemplary manner according to the company's values and quality policies.


Qualified candidates will possess the following Minimum Requirements:

  • Advanced education in Human Resources, preferred
  • Recent experience in an office setting
  • Ability to perform projects with a high degree of detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), and strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Strong self-motivation, with ability to manage personal work load with minimal supervision
  • Exceptional professional attributes of dependability and confidentiality
  • Strong organization skills, including detail-oriented project-management skills
  • Ability and willingness to work well in a team-based work setting, building effective work relationships using collaboration skills
  • An outstanding work record, including attendance

Essential Functions:

  • Calculate daily attendance, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Complete verifications of employment in a timely manner.
  • Complete unemployment
  • Plan retirement parties, including ordering cakes.
  • Assist with New Hire Orientation by greeting new hires and making their badges.
  • Manage the employee Café Badge Setup/Deactivation on a weekly basis.
  • Scan documents on a weekly basis
  • Assist employees with password resets and downloading HR app/sites.
  • Assist with mass mailing events.
  • Issue visitor parking passes and monitor parking.
  • Answer multi-line phone system and ensure that customers, vendors, employees, etc., reach their desired contact via desk phone, cell phone, paging, etc.
  • Greet guests and ensure they are able to connect with their P&C contact or arrive at their destination within P&C.
  • Ensure all P&C guests park in the appropriate visitor parking locations.
  • Receive and send mail, including certified mail, and sort incoming mail, newspapers, periodicals, and packages to reach appropriate employees or departments.
  • Ensure interoffice mail slot labels are kept up to date by adding new employees and deleting former employees.
  • Operate the postage meter, ensure it remains functional, update postage balance, and authorize invoice for the update.
  • Create Contractor and employee badges as needed.
  • Assist candidates with the process to complete the job application on the applicant tracking system.
  • Assist HR with making new hire orientation welcome bags and assist with checking in temporary agency employees as they arrive for orientation.
  • Assist with other Human Resources projects as needed.
  • Organize and maintain efficiency of personal work area and 5S zone.

  • Consistently exhibit appropriate attendance habits, working the hours necessary to perform the job.
  • Organize and maintain personal work area (based on audit score).
  • Provide necessary, accurate, and timely feedback of all pertinent information to co-workers and management.
  • Effectively communicate with co-workers and management personnel to enhance teamwork and communication initiatives.
  • Consistently adhere to, and support, company policies and procedures, including ISO, TS 16949 and safety regulations.
  • Accept instructions and duties in a positive manner.
  • Treat all team members with dignity and respect.
  • Assist in maintaining company values (Integrity, People, Customers, Safety, We Can If...Do What It Takes, and Ownership) daily, through thoughts and actions.
