Responsibilities :
  • Debt Recovery: Aggressively pursue and collect overdue payments from customers through phone calls, emails, and other communication methods.
  • Negotiation: Use assertive negotiation tactics to secure payment arrangements and settlements.
  • Compliance: Ensure all collection activities comply with federal, state, and local laws, as well as company policies.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all communications and transactions with debtors.
  • Reporting: Provide regular reports on collection activities, including progress and challenges, to management.
  • Customer Interaction: Handle difficult conversations with debtors firmly, maintaining professionalism while being clear about the consequences of non-payment.
  • Accounts receivable (AR) and collections tasks as assigned
  • Special projects
  • Assisting with invoices, mailings, bank deposit, and other vital tasks
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in collections or a similar role.
  • Strong communication skills with a commanding presence.
  • Excellent negotiation and persuasion abilities.
  • Ability to handle high-stress situations and confrontational interactions.
  • Proficiency in using collections software and databases.
  • Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations governing debt collection.
  • Able to handle HIGH VOLUME
  • Prior office/administrative experience
  • Finance experience preferred
  • Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Extremely detail-orientated and organized
  • Excellent negotiation and persuasion abilities.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certifications in finance, business, or related fields are a plus.
