The Accounts Receivable Associate will assist in the accounts receivable process, including invoicing, payment collection, and reconciliation of accounts. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational and communication skills to maintain accurate financial records and ensure prompt payment from clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Invoice Management:
    • Generate and send out invoices to customers.
    • Ensure all invoices are accurate and in accordance with company policies and contractual agreements.
  • Payment Collection:
    • Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts.
    • Contact customers via phone, email, or mail to collect overdue payments.
    • Negotiate payment plans with customers, if necessary.
  • Account Reconciliation:
    • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to accounts receivable.
  • Record Keeping:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer account records.
    • Prepare and present regular reports on the status of accounts receivable.
  • Customer Relations:
    • Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to billing and payments.
    • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers to ensure timely payments.
  • Compliance and Procedures:
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of accounts receivable policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable Specialist or similar role.
    • Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures.
    • Experience with accounting software and MS Office (particularly Excel).
  • Skills:
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Problem-solving and negotiation abilities.
