Sr. IT Lab Support Specialist:

The Senior Lab IT Support Specialist is the main contact for lab IT incidents, handling tasks from computer setups to troubleshooting lab equipment with vendors.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Triage and prioritize IT incidents for the LabOps team.
  • Collaborate with lab managers and vendors to solve IT issues.
  • Troubleshoot hardware/software, manage assets, and maintain inventory.
  • Conduct regular meetings with lab managers.
  • Handle imaging, configuration, and deployment of lab instruments.
  • Follow and create technical documentation.


Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of IT experience, including Tier 2/3 support or VIP escalation.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting various devices, data management, and scripting.
  • Experience with ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Jira), Active Directory, and Linux.
  • Strong communication skills to bridge gaps between scientists, IT, and administration.
  • Experience troubleshooting within Windows XP-11 OS
  • Basic scripting experience
  • Ability to SSH into a Linux system and troubleshoot


Desired:

  • CompTIA A+, Net+ certifications.
  • Experience in lab environments and familiarity with lab systems (Thermofisher, Illumina, etc.).
  • Understanding of EHS/PPE guidelines and clinical trials.


This is an on-site role requiring a 40-hour work week.
